I guess I'm not in their demographic at this point. Using the same reference song, it gave me wildly different results on the songs I had for an album.īut now, I just abandoned it and can do better myself with Ozone, a decent multiband compressor and some objective listening. Then I tried the new referencing tool where you can upload a song you like, and it worked. I tried their new settings for warmth and width and what not, but nothing got me where I wanted without needing to EQ afterwards. I thought it was my mix at first, but I went back and my mix actually sounded way more balanced before I uploaded it. I had to roll off from like 2k to the top to get it to sound right. But it seems like now it's either geared toward only sounding good for pop (I mainly do rock/metal) or they just F'd with the algorithm and now everything comes out way too bright, like painfully bright to my ears. I used to use it on everything and thought it sounded great, way better than I could do. I feel like Landr changed in the last couple years. It's the usual suspects: Merging Technologies Pyramix, Wavelab Pro, with a tiny bit of Reaper & Studio One guys too ( )
